OCTOBER CALENDAR OF EVENTS:
Oct 17-27 – Larry teaches MBA programs for IBR in Kiev & Odessa, Ukraine
Oct 29-30 – Larry and Debbie attend IBR Faculty Mtg in Haifa, Israel
Nov 1-8 – Larry returns to Latvia accompanied by Debbie for management training
PRAYER REQUESTS: 
FRIEND IN NEED: One of Larry and Debbie’s best friends from Latvia, Helen Vipass, has a critical event on October 8th that will have great impact on her life and ministry.  Helen has been a friend since 1991, and it was her ministry that led Larry and Debbie to adopt Olya.  PRAY FOR HELEN TO FIND FAVOR FOR HER UPCOMING EVENT AND THAT THE LORD WOULD MIRACULOUSLY INTERVENE IN HER CURRENT SITUATION. 
BIG TRIP COMING:  Larry is preparing for his thirteenth trip of the year (and ninth one overseas) that will take him to Latvia, the Ukraine, Israel and then back to Latvia again.  There are a number of important leadership training activities on this trip, not the least of which is a scheduled meeting with the mayor of the city of Kiev for leadership coaching.  In addition, Debbie will be joining him for the latter part of the journey in Israel and then on to Latvia.  It will be Debbie’s first visit since the Stout’s departure in October of 2006.  PRAY FOR LARRY’S PREPARATIONS FOR THIS TRIP AND THAT THE LORD WILL GIVE HIM FAVOR WITH THOSE HE MEETS AND THOSE HE TEACHES.
ANSWERED PRAYERS: 
BULGARIA BUGABOOS:  Larry had an extremely difficult venue in the city of Varna, Bulgaria.  He was the featured speaker for an annual conference of a major international company with approximately 100 directors and managers from 15 different countries.  Unfortunately for Larry, this conference was also an excuse for a big party for those attending.  Larry was to have four sessions, and he was more than concerned when not a single person showed up for his first session.  He had many latecomers to each session, others falling asleep, still others struggling with the physical symptoms of the night before.  Yet, amazingly, Larry was able to win over a number of the participants, not the least of which was one of the members of the board of directors.  The Lord taught Larry some important lessons on patience and perseverance! Plus he was compensated handsomely.
